Router Compatibility Guide

To secure your home network, Holte needs to connect with your router. The majority of third-party mesh systems and modern ISP hubs are fully compatible. Review our verified hardware list below.

Fully Compatible (Verified)

These routers and mesh systems allow custom LAN DNS configuration and work seamlessly with Holte.

  • Mesh Systems & Third-Party: Amazon eero, TP-Link (Deco / Archer), Asus, Netgear (Orbi / Nighthawk), Google Nest Wi-Fi, Ubiquiti UniFi, DrayTek, Linksys Velop

Suitable (Requires Verification)

If you are using your own aftermarket router connected to an ISP modem, it is generally compatible. Please ensure your specific model is not firmware-locked by your provider.

Currently Restricted (Waitlist)

These standard ISP-provided hubs lock their DNS settings in the default firmware. We are actively developing direct compatibility solutions for these models.

Product Security & UK PSTI Compliance Statement

Holte hardware and software are designed in compliance with the UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Act 2022 and the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (Security Requirements for Relevant Connectable Products) Regulations 2023.

  • No Universal Default Passwords: Every Holte appliance is provisioned with a unique, device-specific 6-digit Hardware Security PIN printed inside the box. No two units share a default password.

  • Defined Security Support Period: Holte guarantees a minimum of 5 years of automatic security and software updates from the date of purchase (guaranteed at least until 31 December 2031 for all units purchased in 2026). Security updates are included permanently at no subscription cost.

  • Vulnerability Disclosure Policy: If you discover a potential security vulnerability in the Holte appliance, web dashboard, or cloud service, please report it to our security team via our Contact Page (or by emailing security@myholte.co.uk). We will acknowledge receipt within 48 hours and provide status updates until the issue is resolved.
